USF Receives a $10.6 million Gift to Establish Center Focused on Enhancing Talent Pipeline

The University of South Florida today announced a $10.6 million gift and celebrated the grand opening of a new center, which will benefit all students in the Muma College of Business and ultimately businesses in the Tampa Bay area. The gift from Arnold F. “Arnie” and Lauren Bellini to the USF Foundation creates and staffs the Bellini Center for Talent Development, housed adjacent to the WUSF Public Media building on the Tampa campus.

Gift to USF honors Julie Harmon

The University of South Florida announced a generous estate gift from Robert “Chip” Harmon in honor of his late wife, Julie Harmon, a pioneering polymer chemist and professor at USF for 25 years, to establish the Dr. Julie Harmon Endowed Chair in Chemistry as well as the Dr. Julie Harmon Endowed Graduate Fellowship in Chemistry, both benefitting the College of Arts and Sciences.

Philanthropist Timothy Ubben gives $5 million to USF Health to fight pulmonary fibrosis

The University of South Florida announced a $5 million gift to the USF Foundation from Timothy Ubben to create the Ubben Family Center for Pulmonary Fibrosis. Housed in the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine, the center will increase research to fight pulmonary fibrosis, a disease that causes lung scarring.
